Large Vehicle Database

MindR user either a 3 wire (+12v, GND, Ignition) or 4 wire CAN BUS (+12v, GND, CAN High, CAN Low) connection to your vehicle.

Generally older vehicle's of the 90's era will use the 3 wire connection and the vehicle odometer is calculated using point to point GPS technology.

Modern vehicles we use the CAN BUS connection which is able to give us access to over 40 different vehicle signals (fuel level, odometer value, airbag status, engine temperature.....).  Each vehicle model requires a unique CAN table to interpret the vehicle information into a human readable format.

Our database currently provides software for over 722 makes and models.

CAN development is carried our both at Vodafone Automotive in Europe and also locally at our premises in Waikanae.
